Quantum information and the quantum computer are an exciting research topic. The institute of physics (Profs. Scheel and Hage and Dr. Plato) and the department for computer science (Prof. Cap) will jointly be offering a lecture series on this fascinating topic in the winter term 2020-21.
This lecture being a first attempt of getting this topic into the Rostock teaching curriculum, some details are not yet fully clear. However, the focus of this activity will be on the thrilling and exciting content.
The lecture will be offered in English, starting on November 3, every Tuesday from 17:00 - 19:00 in the "Großer Hörsaal Physik (HS1)" including live streaming and recording. It is directed at students of physics, mathematics and computer science of term 5 in their Bachelor studies and above. For students of computer science there will be an opportunity to get 6 credits without a mark (unbenotete Leistung, nur bestanden / nicht bestanden) after passing a 90 minutes exam and writing a 15 page Hausarbeit on the topic.
